Jimmy Fallon almost delivered a great sell of Cena’s sixth move of doom

The media rounds continued for Elbow Grease author John Cena last night when he visited his old pal Jimmy Fallon at NBC’s The Tonight Show. They played some games, Cena did the same schtick about his hair he did on Today a few hours earlier, and then some sports entertainment happened.

While discussing his recent return to WWE television at Super Show-Down, Cena’s new finisher came up. Not content to just explain the sixth move of doom (aka “The Doomiest”) to Fallon, the 16 time WWE World champ insisted Jimmy get up so he could demonstrate 闪电拳头 (the Lightning Fist).

Watch the whole thing above – worth it for Cena declaring the move makes him “a good guy with a weather machine” – but we’ve also created a GIF version for you. Fallon comes really close to a brilliant (over)sell, then gently lays down instead of completing it with a collapse on the floor:

You’re no Dwayne Johnson, Jimmy Fallon. But that is pretty good.
